So i guess Oregon and Michigan State are banned from wearing all green then. I hate the smurf turf, but this is ridiculous.

If I'm correct in saying this, then I don't see the fuss.

It's a Mountain West rule, right ? Just MWC games.. they can wear their all blues out of conference and they knew it when they signed up.

Re: Boise State forbidden to wear all blue at home

I have mixed emotions on this. While I think it is stupid that they are being forced to not wear blue at home for MWC games, then again they knew this going into joining the MWC. They agreed to it. So I guess the coach really shouldn't be complaining about it. They could always go back to the WAC.

It's a stupid rule, but they did sign for it. It is stupid that it was even brought up in the first place though.

I'd wear all blue and let the ****storm ensue... When you are on the field... You will notice a 6 foot 200 pound person, no matter what the hell they're wearing... smh

So Kellen Moore has no trouble seeing his WRs at home but MWC teams can't see Bosie's defenders?

Re: Boise State forbidden to wear all blue at home

does this mean they can just wear orange pants? or an orange helmet?

I can understand the conferences thinking, I've always hated watched Boise State in all blue at home, even with my HD TV its annoying. Conference could just be thinking about the quality they're projecting to their consumers than just the advantages of being the same color as the field.... or both had to do with it.

Stupid/Funny comment from random person on the same story different website
Quote:
This week's episode of "Unfrozen Caveman Commissioner."

Announcer: [ over SUPER ] "One hundred thousand years ago, a caveman was out hunting on the frozen wastes when he slipped and fell into a crevasse. In 1999, he was discovered by some scientists and thawed out. He then helped form the Mountain West Conference, and became Unfrozen Caveman Commissioner.

Jingle: "He used to be a caveman,
but now he's a commissioner.
Unfrozen Caveman Commissioner!"

[open on interior, courtroom, the Judge banging her gavel ]

Judge: Mr. Thompson, are you ready to give your summation?

Thompson: [ stepping out] It's just "Thompson", your Honor, and, yes, I'm ready. [approaches the jury box ] Ladies and gentlemen of the jury, I'm just a caveman. I fell on some ice and was later thawed by some of your scientists. Your world frightens and confuses me! When I see a solar eclipse, like the one I went to last year in Hawaii, I think 'Oh no! Is the moon eating the sun?' I don't know. Because I'm a caveman -- that's the way I think! When I'm on the sidelines at a TCU game, I wonder if the ball is some sort of food they're fighting over. When I see my image on the security camera at the country club, I wonder, are they stealing my soul? I get so upset, I hop out of my Range Rover, and run across the fairway to the clubhouse, where I get Carlos to make me one of those martinis he's so famous for, to soothe my primitive caveman brain. But whatever world you're from, I DO know one thing - When the Broncos wear all blue on the blue turf it frighten and confuses the other teams. My primitive mind can't grasp the concept that players wearing blue uniforms on a blue turf aren't magical. What I heard from coaches is that it's a 'competitive advantage. It's as simple as that. And, for that reason, I ask that you find me not guilty of pettyness. Thank you.

Judge: The jury will now retire to deliberate.

Jury Foreman: [standing ] Your Honor. I don't think we need to retire. Thompson's words are just as true now as they were in his time. We find him not guilty.

[ the jury applauds Thompson ]

Judge: Did you hear that, Mr. Thompson? [ no answer ] Mr. Thompson?

Thompson: [watching Colorado State playing in all green uniforms on a green field on a tiny TV ] I'm sorry, your Honor. I was watching the tiny men trapped inside this strange modern device! [ smiles maliciously to the camera ]

Announcer: "Unfrozen Caveman Commissioner" has been brought to you by petty, frightened coaches looking for excuses for their team's pathetic performances.

Announcer: Next time, on "Unfrozen Caveman Commissioner"
Thompson: I'm just a caveman and those burning sun balls in Bronco stadium frighten and confuse me when the Broncos are on offence, so for all conference, night, home games the stadium lights will be turned off when the Broncos are on offence.
