Max Bullough suspended for the Rose Bowl for a violation of team rules.

I'm not an MSU fan, but that sucks. Had to have been an awful decision by him, and a gutwrenching loss for MSU fans.

It's a bummer that Max is gone but I'm not freaking out over it. Kyler Elsworth will be his backup who has played in many many big games over his career. He is a senior by the way and he is very competitive. He is much of the reason for MSU's success over the years. Many big plays which sparked up the team. It's not like we have some freshman, nope he's a senior and a great player. We won't miss a beat. And another great thing is we're not playing a team that can confuse us, like what the pistol or spread could do. Stanford's a run first, then run second, then run third team. Not worried. Yes Max was the brains of the defense but from the articles I have read, they have yet to clarify if he can make the trip or not. Even if he's not on the field, having him on the sidelines calling audibles and helping Kyler where he needs it can give the team a boost

It's already been reported he did not make the trip with the team.

I've seen that but that isn't reliable source(s) at all. mlive, detroit free press, nor ESPN has said anything about it. Only one reporter and some forums have said it....and it's hard to believe 1 reporter and forums. Now I'm not saying the sources I named off are the only ones you can believe but Dantonio just announced that he wasn't playing at midnight eastern time. there is hardly any info out

Generally when you're suspended for a bowl game, you'll probably not make the trip or be sent home. And he is the former as of now.

I'm so stoked for this game. I love this matchup.

I wanna to with Sparty, but I really think Stanford is gonna pull this one off.

What the hell......Wonder what Max did to get suspended. MSU is toast without him. He's a very good linebacker from a physical standpoint, not the best out there, but he was the QB on defense. He studied so much film of other teams he knew their plays and got the entire defense into position. You can't put a value on how much he dictated the teams schemes from his side of the ball.

I don't want to make speculations but I'm gonna guess it has something to do with alcohol. He was arrested back in 2011 with another MSU player and he had to go to AA.
