Re: Bowl Season Discussion

LOL officials. Maybe this is some masterclass to get the players to simmer down by slowing the game to a standstill with all these incorrect interpretations of the rule book.

I feel like this may have been one of the worst bowl years I can ever remember. Baylor/Vandy and Iowa State/Wazzu were good...any other games?

It's hard though...especially when I got my neighbor playing their franchise across the street...maybe I will occupy myself with Glamore Magazine.

Clemson vs. Bama is gonna be legendary, me thinks.

Just tonight. He played excellently vs Bama and pretty much all season.

I agree, but I wonder if this performance changes the situation at all. Maybe Fields is a bit more steeled that he could win the starting job in 2019. Maybe Kirby Smart is a bit more receptive to it. I hope it does. Selfishly, I'd rather Ohio State have to play next season with Tate Martell at QB as opposed to Justin Fields.

Re: Bowl Season Discussion

Come on guys. How about that performance by Texas? After all, we had no business being in a Jan 1 bowl...

I thought he was mostly fine. A few dropped passes including one that might have resulted in 6 early on didn't help matters. One area where he really didn't seem to do a good job though was getting the team in the right play, something he's normally pretty good at. It didn't seem like he was making many pre-snap calls, like when we just saw them run it up the middle when a safety has creeped up into the box. I do think it will be a battle if Fields does stay though. Except for the LSU game Fromm was excellent all year, including against Alabama. However, Fromm has had a few games likes this in his career now where when the other team takes away the run we just don't have enough consistent offense. Like tonight, his stat line wasn't bad, but it wasn't game changing. Of course adding another touchdown and about 50 yards on 1 dropped pass might have made it look a lot difference too.
