I think all you need is horizon. Thats all I used.
Basically you should make sure the flashdrive is formatted for xbox.
Next, save like some kind of ch2k8 profile or save to the flashdrive while you are on the dashboard. Take the flashdrive out of the xbox and plug it into your pc/laptop. Download the truegameplay roster to your computer harddrive. Open up that horizon program and extract the game save that you copied from your xbox to the flash drive and also drag&drop the roster file you downloaded into horizon.

Now, copy and paste those 3 id numbers from the file that came from your xbox originally into the corresponding spaces for the file you downloaded(like the console id, etc). Now in the downloaded file you should have the copied and pasted information and the true gameplay rosters. click rehash and save and then save the file to device(aka the flash drive).

Go back to the xbox with the flashdrive and now you should be able to copy the true gameplay roster onto your xbox hard drive. You can take the hardrive out, put college hoops in and just load the roster file as you normally would. Hope I wasn't too confusing. Its pretty simple after you do it the first time.

If worst comes to worst go into the 2k13 forum and look for the topic how to rehash and resign. Since I think the files that appear on this site have already been run through the chrome tool, I don't think you have to worry about any of the steps that refer to the chrome tool. Just the horizon stuff. It could literally take you 3-5minutes to get the rosters from computer to your xbox. Once you get the hang of it, you will probably always seek one of the os user created rosters. I mean the level of detail that these guys put in is amazing.

Hey So I followed all of those steps when I did it before, and it didn't work. Can you explain in a little bit more detail the extraction stuff? So say I save the default roster from ch2k8 onto my flash drive. Then I extract that? How would I do that? And also, when I upload them to horizon they should be .html files right? Cuz after I do that, they show up in Horizon and .ros files. Do I extract them before I go into horizon? im confused by this

Lets see if I can walk you through it while I look at the horizon program screens.
1st lets go ahead and download whatever .ros file you were looking for(whether its the college hoops or nba 2k). Save that to your harddrive on the computer.

In the xbox, you should have your formatted flash drive. In the dashboard you can copy over whatever game roster file you already have saved to the xbox HD. So at this point you have the true gameplay roster file on your computer and some basic game file from 2k8 on your flash drive.

Open Up Horizon and insert the flashdrive. The device explorer popup should appear. If you click on the arrow corresponding to games you will see ch2k8. click on that arrow and it should show the roster file that came from your xbox. Right click on that file and the extract option will appear. Select extract and save the file to a location on the computer. Now drag and drop that file into the main horizon window. Next step is to drag and drop the downloaded(ie the true gameplay roster file) into Horizon.

From here you are essentially going to copy the Profile ID,Device Id and Console ID from the roster file you had originally(the one from your own xbox) into the corresponding spaces for the downloaded roster file.
So basically the object is to copy the IDs that came from your xbox file into the .ros file window for the roster file you downloaded. When you have done copying those IDs you can kill the window that had your original xbox save and just focus on the box that has the downloaded game save(true gameplay rosters) and your newly copied ID information. You can click on save rehash and resign then save to device. At this point the downloaded roster(with your id information) is now on your flashdrive. The only thing left to do is copy the gamesave to yor xbox now. There should not be any complications because the game save has your profile id, console id and device id in it now. Once you copy the save you can take out the flashdrive, pop in the game and the roster should be there when you select files to load.

that's pretty straight forward. thanks for the summary.

i still can't get it to work though.

every time i go to load the file, my game freezes....to the point where i have to manually turn off my xbox.
