The only use I see is it'll save a trip to the PC if we are trying to fill a game lobby.

This is only good if you have VGA cables? I only have what it came with.

The VGA cables had a problem with washed out colors, so the update fixes that problem. There aren't any problems with the component cables.

No, but they do have a couple of disadvantages:
  • considerably less sharp picture than VGA;
  • the 360 will not upconvert dvd's when using component cables.

Re: Xbox Live Spring Update

I was checking out the Windows Live IM and it says "Windows Live Messenger is not available through a Windows Live Child Account." I created my XBox Live account when I was about 17 and 10 months...

Is there any way to get around that or change your account type?

Yeah, that's true. I just meant there wasn't anything that needed to be fixed for the component cables - they work as intended.

I prefer VGA over component for the reasons you mentioned. With the update there's even more reason to use VGA if your TV supports it.

Unless I just never noticed it before: When you have a disk in the tray and you're at the dashboard...it tells you whats in the tray. Is that new or not???
I thought it always said "Play Game"
