Question about the 360

I purchased a XBOX 360 about a month ago and last night I went to start it up and immediately a screen came up that read system error and said to contact somebody(I can't remember who because I was panicked). Is this the 3 lights of death i've been hearing about because I did see 3 lights flashing around the power button. After I turned the system off and back on It worked fine though for the rest of the night. Is my system screwed or does this just happen sometimes?

I've had that happen to me. It was something like Error E 74. In my case, I think it was just that my video cable was a little loose. It would only pop up once in a while. I've also had the 3 lights of death, but this was something different. Plus, if you get the lights 'o death, they stay solid, they don't flash.

You might be fine for now, but from experience your system will probably die in a few months. That happened to mine then about 3-4 months later it died.

Well, at least I got 11 months left on my warranty. I'll just wait and see what happens.

if it was that first screen, your AV cable may have been loose.

I don't think sections 1,2,3 and 4 were flashing. It was just 2,3,and 4. Now I can't remember if they were flashing it might have just been a steady light. But it did happen right when I turned the system on. Hasn't happened again..keeping fingers crossed
