Yeah man, it's on a table with free air space all around it (same for the power supply) and it's never been moved or fallen or anything. I'll let you know how the new one is. I guess i'll try the old hard drive for a few days as you say and see if I have any issues.

I would try the Walmart exchange cause that's what i'm going to do.

Exactly what I did. I picked one up from Microcenter for my Son and his froze/crashed so I exchanged it 3 days ago and low and behold this one is freezing/locking up. I am pissed right now. I love the systems but I am seriously thinking about giving up. This is BS at its finest, these systems are not well built and MS is well aware of this. "END OF STORY"

That's interesting regarding the PS3. I went to get a haircut yesterday and the EBgames next door had a big sign out front that said "PS3 Here Now!" The girl working the counter said they weren't selling as fast as they expected. That's surprised me.

I'm really stumped on why this system is not selling as fast. I really feel it is more of a price problem than anything. $600 bones is steep for the average gamer when you basically get pretty much the same thing on the 360 other than the BR disc for $200 bones less. I will admit I think the PS3 is a much better built system from what I am hearing.
