Hooking a 360 to a computer moniter

Okay fellas, I have a 19" LCD computer monitor. My tv that I have is alright, but I want to hook the 360 up to the monitor.

I know there are the VGA cables from Microsoft, but my monitor only has a DVI-D input. Is there some sort of adapter that I can buy along with the VGA cables, or am I out of luck?

Any help would be appreciated. Thanks in advance.

Here you go DVI-VGA Adapter

Edit: Or wait, you'll probably need a female dvi to female vga, right?

I honestly have no idea. I don't know what hooks into what, or about the gender things with the cables.

no, if there's an issue, he can still do it if he buys that with the official MS VGA cable. He'd hook that DVI-VGA Adapter to his monitor, then use the yellow gender changer that comes with the VGA cables to do the rest.

I didn't even need to use mine.

If your monitor really does only have a DVI-D connector, I'm pretty sure the MS VGA box won't work for you. DVI-D is supposed to only accept digital video signals, while VGA is an analog only signal. So you'd probably need a costly digital-to-analog converter to connect the 360 and your monitor, at which point it would probably be cheaper to get a monitor with more connection options. Now if your monitor actually does have an analog input (vga, dvi-i,dvi-a) then you could make the MS VGA box work with a simple adapter.

What is the connector that you use to hook the monitor to a computer?

I was looking at some pictures of the VGA cables, and it seems to resemble the other connection on my monitor. Its blue and I used it to hook it up to my computer. Will that work?

I don't know, if that won't work then I may just forget about using it.
