I have the same Lot #, it doesn't have the extra heatsink in it.

Crapola! Thank you for confirming this candy. Looks like I may have to do an exchange and go hunting this weekend. I want to get one that at least has the additional heat sink. I don't like having a new console that could basically crap out at anytime.

Do you know for sure whether there are elites in store now that do have the additional heat sink? Should I be looking for what is listed in your sig? Thanks again.

I have lot#0711 and the Hitachi drive and I'm fine with it, My 360 only gets warm and that all, I have it on my entertainment center glass which is cool as ice always and I'm fine with it. I'm not driving myself crazy over all this nonsense #'s and drives and this and that. If it dies it dies.

nope, Like I said before I really didn't enjoy the PS3 much at all, I played MLB the show for about a week, did enjoy it, and then the PS3 was dust full. From owning both I think the PS3 is better built no doubt,but for my gaming enjoyment the 360 is so much better hands down.

Candy I have a few people at xbox.com saying that we definately have the new heat sink in our model. Check towards the bottom of this page.
