I just got my elite and need to know the best way to get rosters by use of a transfer kit or xport. I am not very good at this stuff, so the easiest way is preferable. How much will this set me back?

The Data Transfer Kit is the most popular....I don't know too many that use the Xport. I just picked up a new Transfer Kit off of e-bay for $15 (including shipping).

Do you have to buy a memory card too or can you transfer right to the hard drive?

You need a memory card as well. I've read there can be issues with anything bigger than the 64MB card, but I can't verify that.

As a mod on FKrosters.com where we distribute Fairdale King's rosters I can safely say you want to make sure you get a 64mb card as that is what the community does the save files in. If you get a 128 meg card prepare to go through a very long and convuluted process to get saves, that is if you are lucky enough to get it to work.

Agreed. Datel Transfer Kit is way to go with a 64mb memory card for all rosters regardless of sport. Harder to find than last year but some places on the net should have them. Not so easy to find in stores anymore.
