If the console is being used for work purposes then the company should pay for one and write it off on their taxes.

Dude. There is no way in hell I would ever do that. Everyone who's posted before is right... the company should pony up for one, and it's likely if not guaranteed to turn up missing... but if you do decide to do it, get a contract that requires a full replacement if it breaks or goes missing.

the devil would be driving a snow plow to work before I'd bring my rig in. Besides,if someone jacked it or spilled a drink on it, that wouldn't be good for inter-employee realtionships I would think.
