PS HD help

Ihooked up my PS3 to my 1080i t.v. but the players in mlb 08 seem to be a little stretched out. When i went back to the original resolution everything looked fine. Is there a way i could fix this? Also all the letters on the PS3 main page got smaller, and in regular resolution they were much larger. Any help? thanx

I read at DSM (or whatever it is called now) that MLB 08 was optimized for 720P, but could do 1080P. The thread is http://digitalsportsmania.com/forums/showthread.php?t=180116
