the only way is to illegally mod it, or have a 360 that hasn't updated yet, and then only play offline...forever. Plus you can never buy newer games, as they come with the new dashboard on the disc.

The 360 updates like NXE are actually flashed to the console. Unless you try modding, the 360 will not downgrade, and this update even checks for blown efuses.
