You should be set with those three things, but like I said, there might be issues with routing all that on a single input to the receiver. Good luck, and let us know how it turns out. It wouldn't be that expensive of a mistake if it didn't work, and I think you could probably return everything to monoprice if that happened.

And yeah, I'll continue to echo the sentiment in this thread that you should probably get a real receiver or at least a better HITB unit with better decoding, more inputs, etc. But if you're set with that unit, the solution above should work for your needs.

I will go back to walmar right now and return it and head to best buy acoss the mall

I just need somebody to tell me which should i get from best buy that would serve the purpose i described...

Re: I just bought this surround sound system and need some help

If your 360, PS3, and DirectTV are hooked up to your TV via HDMI as you indicated, you should just need the one optical cord to run from the TV to the surround unit.

And it's my pleasure man... I never mind helping out with stuff like this. Hah, I've been hooking stuff up for people since I was 6, so I should probably start a Geek Squad-type business on my own or something heh. Geek Mercenary for hire.

I'm thinking about this one. What you guys think. I have Dish HD(Hdmi), Xbox 360(PC input), and PS3(Hdmi).

Re: I just bought this surround sound system and need some help

guru, why are you getting this system with a dvd player attached? I would suggest against it unless you need a DVD Player.

I would suggest this system:

http://www.bestbuy.com/site/olspage....=1205538061760

Pioneer is a reputable company that specializes in Audio. Yes this system doesn't offer HDMI, but it seems like you really don't need it.
