How to download from PS3 Network

Had a quick question for anybody who could help. I just now finally hooked my PS3 up to the internet, and I was wondering where I need to go in order to find downloads for games. I'm kind of baffled, so any help would be greatly appreciated.

once you get a playstation network id setup, you should be able to enter the playstation store from the XMB (cross media bar). there you can download demos and other stuff

All I see that I can download for The Show 09 are trailers and the demo. Where can I find these roster updates and whatnot?

First, put the game in. Then when you are at the main menu, go to the Sports Connect tab. After you're in the main menu in Sports Connect, skim through and you should see the Roster Vault. Then pick which roster you want and then download and save it. It will tell what to do when you select the roster you want. Hope this helps.

Once you download them, do you have to load it each time you start the game? How can you set them to be the default roster and load it automatically?

Is the official SCEA one on there?

Yes, when you enter SportsConnect, you'll get an automated message telling you there's a roster update if you haven't downloaded the latest rosters. You can then download the official rosters after this message.
