Re: Which Xbox 360 console is right for me?

Thanks for the advice. I will go to Gamestop 1st to buy the arcade model for $199.99 new. Then I'll rent Madden NFL 09 until my copy arrives in the mail. After that I'll buy a new 64MB Memory Unit, so that I can share my files. That would cost me about $30. Then I'll order a cheap NEW copy of Madden NFL 09 on ebay. That should run me about $30 with rush shipping. Then I'll order a new 60GB harddrive for about $70 on Ebay. Then I'll get a new Wireless Network Adapter for about $70 locally. That makes the grand total to be about $424.75. It might be cheaper just to buy a Playstation 3.

120 GB HDD's can be found for $70 on ebay. There's also far cheaper alternatives to the wireless internet adapter.

Again, thanks for the advice. I guess I will buy the HDD on ebay as well as the network adapter.

Ask BK what are the Wireless options... I don't know them but I won't need one when I get mine. But don't settle on the network adapter when you can probably build your own for cheap... BK?? What are some options

There's a few options.

The wireless adapter for the original xbox works fine, and it can be found for $50 off ebay or amazon.

Also, you can can get a cheap wireless router and create a wireless bridge between it and the router from your PC. This method can cost as little as $20, but takes some know how or following directions to get running.

You can look around and find a 15% or 20% off electronics coupon code for Dell and get some really nice deals. That knocks a Pro system down to about 255 + tax.

Re: Which Xbox 360 console is right for me?

After further evaluation I have decided to buy the Arcade model from my local gamestop. I have found a decent used 60 GB HDD from ebay for $61. I think I got a good deal. Right now Madden NFL 09 is set at $12 on ebay. I found a brand new wireless adapter for $35 on ebay. That's an incredible deal if its that low, but I expect it to increase to $50. The 64 MB MU was about $10 plus shipping. Bottom line, I expect to save about 40% thanks to ebay auctions. That helps me out a lot because just buying the console alone is already quite a drain on my budget. I plan to buy all of this by this Friday afternoon. That's about $320 plus a $40 1 yr warranty from gamestop.
