xbox 360 - pre-paid subscription question!

hello! sorry if this question has been asked in these forums, but i didn't see the the question or answer as i paged through the topics.

i currently use pre-paid cards to pay for my xbox live membership. the reason i use pre-paid cards is because of the horror stories i have been reading about trying to communicate with the people at microsoft when it comes to canceling and other variou headaches.

my pre-paid membership is due to run out 11/1/2009, but i received a 12 month + 1 pre-paid card as a gift. if i enter the 12 month card today (8/3/09), will it automatically tack on starting from 11/1/09, or will it start the year as of today and disregard the november expiration?

i am tempted to just hold off on putting in the code until 11/1, but am scared it could be misplaced or thrown out .

You can add the card now. It just adds the extra months to your current subscription. If you look at your account after you redeemed the card, it will tell you how many months you have remaining on your membership. So if you have 2 months left now, and added the 13 month card, you would have 15 months total.

They added the option to turn auto-renew off, if you want to start using a debit/credit card to pay.
