PS3 can catch xbox 360?

I mainly find it ironic that EA's European VP is commenting on how competition is good for the market.

Does it really matter anymore?

I don't mean that in a "this is a stupid thread" sort of way, just that this gen has more or less run its course at this point.

Reminds me of Michigan football in 2007. Sure, you beat Florida, but you lost to App. State. For the PS3, it'd be like, "Sure, you caught the 360, but you were more or less a debacle for the first two years."

If the PS3 eventually catches the 360, it'll be nice for Sony shareholders and everything, but I think it will register more as an afterthought or an appendix to this gen than as a "Wow, Sony won!"

according to Microsoft and Sony they don't plan on releasing a new console for 5 years . so this gen is not even half over.
