Re: Nintendo 3DS

I'll wait for the inevitable 3ds lite, where it'll be a little cheaper and have a better selection of games out.

I was at Best Buy and Walmart today, they had a boat load of these in stock. At $250 the 3DS will be hard to move and I just feel like all Nintendo does is continue to rehash titles over and over and over. At some point this business model will not work anymore imo, but I could be wrong.

Re: Nintendo 3DS

I went to Walmart today and used it for a bit. It was alright, but I wouldn't pay $250 for it. The thing about the 3d is that if I was looking at the guy flying and then looked at the ground, I had to re adjust my eyes to focus on it.

Yeah, at Walmart and Target today, they had tons. In fact, Target told me at noon they hadn't sold a single unit yet.

I hate saying this, but I hope this turns out to be a failure for Nintendo so they can learn a lesson. I feel like they have made their bread and butter the last decade by releasing countless of rehashes and looking at this launch lineup, the evidence is there. I just look that the successor of the Wii will be something like Wii3D or 3DWii with slightly more power than what they have in the Wii. LOL!

I'm done with Nintendo so I don't even care what it does. But I know I didn't feel bad it wasn't selling.

They've just released too many DS iterations over the last few years. DS, DS Lite, DSi, DSi XL, and now the 3DS. Just waaaay too many in a 4-5 year period.

I tried playing it again, even at a closer distance, the screen is just all blurry to me no matter where I set the 3D setting. Now I can't do 3D in theaters either as it gives me a migraine, but never this fast before.

That is way too many versions of one system in a 7 year period as this thing originally came out in 2004. I have also given up on Nintendo long ago considering that both Kinect and Move have perfected what they brought to the market in the Wii. It seems like both of those techs are taking a vacation. LOL!

3D of all kinds tends to bug my eyes and one of the reasons why I skipped out on it when I bought my new TV a few months ago.

I doubt it will be hard to move. Nintendo said there will be no shortages and if you want one you will get one. I wouldn't base how well it sells on how many your local store has.

Took a few pics with the 3d camera and they look pretty good. I keep the 3d slider a little less than half way up, anything higher and it looks too 3d if there is such a thing. Hurts my eyes.
