Xbox 360 Arcade Sticks

Fellas I have been looking into getting back into what is forgotten genres for me, shootemups (Radiant Silvergun, Ikaruga, etc) and 2d/3d fighters (Street Fighter, Soul Calibur, etc).

I have begun with purchasing a fight stick, I bought the WWE All Stars Brawl Stick. Reading about it, I learned that is great beginner stick and is even better with a few slight modifications.

Being an Xbox 360 owner I have many options for shootemups and fighters. If any of you have any favorites and own arcade sticks or modded them post here when you get a chance.

Re: Xbox 360 Arcade Sticks

Both the Brawl Stick and Brawl Pad are great products.

Definitely pick one up (or two for multiplayer) at Gamestop while they are getting clearanced out. The prices last time I checked were $20 for the stick and $13 for the pad.

If you ever want to upgrade the stick with better parts, it's super easy to mod. You literally just snap out the old buttons and snap in the new ones.

That's good to hear JYoung, I first need to learn how to play using an arcade stick, then mod if necessary.

I have a BlazBlu Madcatz TE stick for PS3. Have been lazy about getting around to messing with. Mostly i just want to put an octagonal gate in, but I don't play enough fighting games at this point anyways.

Re: Xbox 360 Arcade Sticks

Slowly adjusting to a joystick. At first whether playing shootemups or fighters I felt I was all over the place. Now, I am getting the hang of using the joystick; found a grip that works for me which was important.

Added several new xbox 360 retail and digital games to use the joystick with:

Raiden Fighter Aces
Deathsmiles
Shoot1Up (Xbox Live Indie Game)
Super Street Fighter IV: Arcade Edition
WWE All Stars

Re: Xbox 360 Arcade Sticks

Just updated my joystick with a Sanwa joystick and buttons. They are a huge improvement. The responsive has blew me away; though I still stink at the game, lol.

Re: Xbox 360 Arcade Sticks

If you're looking for some old-school 2D shooters on Xbox, I recommend:

Ikaruga
Radiant Silvergun

The system also has a ton of fighters. More than any one person can play. My favorites are Mortal Kombat, Super Street Fighter 2 HD and Third Strike Online.

I have those on my list of must own shmups alongside R-Type Dimensions, plus a few others I can't remember. Currently I am working on learning SSF4: AE and Virtua Fighter 5.
