They would have to pay for a lot of positive videos to make up for that NBA Live Andrew Bynum Jesus video a couple years ago.

That one video singlehandedly put the killshot on the whole damn franchise lmao.

Re: EA/Microsoft Paying Youtubers for Positive Promotion

Paying for positive feedback is nothing new to the gaming industry. Companies pay for good reviews all the time so this is no surprise to me. I do not like it because it allows them to release broken garbage games and they can still get some good reviews and good sales because the big sites said it was good.

This industry is so frustrating sometimes. Like these companies like EA and M$ would rather shell out some cash to pay for positive feedback rather than shell out some cash to pay for quality dev teams or just allowing the teams they have the proper time to actually finish a game prior to it's release.

It's sad that they don't even try to hide the fact that they do not care at all about the people playing their games and only about how to make the most money.

I get it they are a business and need to make money but you don't see auto manufacturers taking shortcuts like you see in the VG industry at least not anymore. I mean automobiles are to the point you can go to any showroom and buy any brand new car and it is going to get you from point a to point b with no problems. Sure they might have recalls from time to time but quality has gone up so much that they are usually smaller problems.

Now this is mostly seen in the AAA sector of video gaming and not so much in smaller scale dev teams because they tend to not be pushed by a publisher and they also seem to take more pride in their work.

To me AAA gaming is akin to British Leyland in that they may have made lots of stuff but it's all poorly put together and is likely to fall apart.
