Re: Xbox Series (X/S)

One thing Im excited to do when my S gets here is to play Fallout 3. You can only stream that on PS4/PS5 but you can actually download and buy it for the Series S. Depending on the rumors with Silent Hill, Ill do the same with the old HD collection.

Re: Xbox Series (X/S)

Been playing my series x for a couple of days now, Yakuza and NBA 2k21 with no issues. Started playing the new Call of Duty tonight and I can't get through one match of multiplayer without the system shutting itself down, does it every time after about 5 minutes. System shuts itself off but the controller stays on and have to take the batteries out to turn it off then have to turn the X back on by pushing the button on the console.

Tried my other games after this happened and they continue to work fine.

Did a google search and it appears this is somewhat of a wide spread issue. Anyone here have this problem?

I haven’t experienced any of that so far.

After doing further research into this issue it seems as if playing the 59.99 version of the game on the Series X may be the issue. To my understanding this version is supposed to play on the Series X but many are having issues but after spending the extra 10 dollars for the cross gen version the problem went away.

I had not planned on getting the Series X so I had pre-ordered the 59.99 version of Call of Duty Cold War. I ended up getting a Series X on launch day.

I went ahead and spent the extra $10 for the cross gen version, downloading now so we'll see.

Anyone else playing the 59.99 version on the Series X?

Curious, how did you end up finding one on launch day?

Walmart online with local store pickup. Went to their website and watched the timer count down to when they would be available then just started clicking. Didn't figure I'd get one but got lucky I guess.

I can also now say that upgrading to the cross gen version has solved the console shutdown problem. Just should have not happened though, the standard version is supposed to work on the Series X as well as the One but it apparently doesn't.
