New Show Commercial Appears to Reveal Two New Legends

Seen in this tweet (https://twitter.com/TampaGames/statu...555669504?s=20), and I've seen others say they saw the commercial tonight as well. Seems to show a #25 for the Cardinals and #21 for the Cubs that certainly look a lot like Mark McGwire and Sammy Sosa (and the next player shown is Aaron Judge, so tying in the HR chases).

EDIT: Saw a much better look. They're in.

Re: New Show Commercial Appears to Reveal Two New Legends

When they were talking about legends during the Dev tourney, they kept emphatically hinting that more legends that were "the best players in the history of the game" would be coming.

I think Sosa and McGwire would fit the bill strictly off 1998. If they're actually in then my god is this game jam-packed with amazing stuff this year.

If the steroid bros are in, then it's time for Manny and A-Rod. I need some vintage Sox-Yanks out of this. Oh, and Nomar.

Manny and Arod feel inevitable. They're hugely requested and despite the stigma would fit right into the DD mold.

Bonds is about the only one that I'd be massively shocked by since he wasn't on board with being in the PA or games while active

Bonds was always in the PA. He didn't leave the union. He opted out of the licensing agreement. And it wasn't because he didn't want to be in games. He supposedly felt that the way that agreement worked (where every member of the licensing agreement gets an equal slice of the revenue from the MLBPA licenses) was unfair, and that he should have gotten a bigger slice of the pie because he was a higher profile player. So he left to sell his rights separately for more money. Only none of the video game or card companies wanted to meet his financial demands.

So, I'm sure SDS could get his rights, but it would be very, very expensive.

Interesting. I never knew the nuance to it, just always parroted the general thought that he was out of the PA and therefore the games.

Certainly opens up the possibility, perhaps. If it's an ego thing, I guess the hope would be that he understands how much the Show community would love to see him in the game.

I'm in the camp that he should be in the Hall of Fame without question. I'd love to see him at least make amends, so to speak, with the fans that appreciate his career for what it is - the best in history.
