I don't disagree with your advice.

I've played around 30 games since I received both cards, and Nolan Ryan's only gotten to pitch in 2 of those games. So no, that's not worth 50K stubs.

If I could sell Beltre right now, I would. But he's locked as a collection player, and is completely out of my lineup, having been replaced by Hammerin' Harmon Killebrew (5 HR in 11 games).

Although it is completely random and tends to skew towards your middle rotation pitchers, you still need to invest in good pitchers online.

Considering most of the quality pitchers go for upwards of 20k, in my opinion, I think 50k for Ryan and Beltre is quite reasonable. I've had good experience with Beltre so far and when Ryan does pitch, he's pretty lights out. Obviously, that might differ for some people.

Re: Beltre value

Invest in good pitchers. Don't be like me and spend almost your entire salary cap on Trout, Ted Williams and Altuve, and then have my opponent hit multiple homers every game off my 70 rated pitchers.

Unfortunately to overcome the randomness (or lacktherof) of the pitching selection process, you just need to have 5 solid pitchers.

Re: Beltre value

There are much easier collections to get that may have better payoffs then the Beltre/Ryan combo.

Finish the White Sox and you get McDowell along with collecting a good closer in Robertson and another decent starter in Samardzija

Like has been stated The Twins collection gets you Killebrew who is every bit as good an option at 3rd and another bullpen option in Perkins

Finish the BlueJays and you get Carter plus 2 good starters in Dickey and Buehrle. I have done well with both.

The Braves is another fairly cheap collection that gets you Niekro and Teheran

You could probably finish all 4 (atleast 3 of 4) of those collections for what Beltre costs and have a good 3rd baseman, a solid starting rotation and a real solid bullpen

Where is he in your rotation. The 3-4 pitch the most so put him there
