The fact that there is no matchmaking in Diamond Dynasty really bums me out. I really wish that we were able to play against friends, even if it were limited to unranked games. This is quite a glaring omission that will hopefully be solved by the time next year's game is released, if not sooner. It couldn't possibly be that difficult to implement it at this point.

It would be even cooler if you could do online leagues with DD teams

I agree with both posts. Having online matchmaking with friends and online round robin leagues would really help this mode.

And a salary cap for christ sake. We'll never see it because they want people buying all star teams, but this game would be a million times better.

We need another company to create some competition to encourage basic innovation.

Most of these ideas don't make sense and it is the same things people cry about with other UT modes.
What they need to do is add more player cards. Ways to play like challenges and a gauntlet mode etc.
Also making a DD currency to stop people from just buying players.
This is the first year SCEA did a mode like this DD in previous years was totally different.
This is a good first try for them but they need to address many things.
