Worst part about flipping cards!!!

I sell most of my DD team on the weekend which brings in a decent amount of stubs but buying them back on Monday before playing again is a pain

Why are you flipping cards this way? Keep your team, buy players you don't plan to use and resell them.

I think he's trying to work the market....
The weekend....when most people are playing want the better players and buy high.....they then likely put them back on the market Mondays to roll anew on the following weekend by buying a new team.

Re: Worst part about flipping cards!!!

I understand what they are trying to do. A lot of people do this. They sell the players that they have bought high and wait for the market to drop a bit and rebuy them again. The market tends to peak around Saturday and starts to drop Monday. Sometimes Sunday, but the anticipation of upgrades increased some players like Greinke or Harper on Sunday. I just think it is an inefficient way to profit on the market. Mainly because you are selling players that you want to use and waiting to rebuy them. Just use the players you want and use extra stubs to flip. I never touch my main squad and only use my pile of stubs I've acquired to flip. Buying a card and selling it 10 minutes later can net the same as waiting days for a card price to drop to rebuy them.

Selling them Sunday after being done playing and rebuying them the next morning isn't that long a wait.

I flip cards a lot but the profit margin from Sunday to Monday is worth listing everything you got.

Say you sold Harper Sunday for 29-30k, then rebuy them today for 23-24k. You can make that off of just buying one player or two and selling them a few minutes later. I'm not saying it isn't profitable, it is quite profitable, I just don't see the point when its easy to flip cards you don't own for the same profit.

This weekend though the market may crash hard again because of the new packs so be careful of that.

The other risk is if a player gets an upgrade the cost to rebuy will be higher. Imagine if they gave Harper another +5 contact and power vs RHP.

Re: Worst part about flipping cards!!!

I do the same thing Oldboy does. I have my team..my collections but I still buy and sell cards. When new packs come out I'll test them a bit but in the long run buying and selling is best. When everyone was going on about the market crashing a few weekends ago I made 100,000 stubs. This weekend I made 30,000. I dont know what I'll every use my stubs on other than finishing my collections...I sit over 200,000 and up to 260,000 at any given time.

Pretty much. Even if the market crashes and Kershaw drops 10k in value you can still buy Kershaw for 18k and sell 5 minutes later for 22k. It's always reliable.
