I gave fish eye a try for a while but I could not pickup a slider to save my life. Decided to switch to wide last night and so far I'm faring much better.

Do they allow custom cameras to be used online this year?

I know they've been prohibited online in MLB 14 and MLB 15.

No, they don't allow them to be used.

This is wrong, you can definately change the view in DD online, I tend to use "pitcher" for pitching and The Show 15 camera for hitting

I think you misread the question. He asked if "custom cameras" could be used, meaning Custom Camera #1-4 in which you can customize a view to your liking.

I never used the camera wide last year but gave it a chance on this game and love it, I've used it for a while now and have been hitting pretty good.

Re: What camera are you having the most success with?

I've been using the zoomed camera for the most part in every mode. The only downside to that camera is that it makes it hard to read low pitches but out of all the cameras this is the one that I am able to recognize speed better and time everything up.

I've had big time timing issues the past year or two and I feel like a lot of it is because the game forces you to let the ball get really, really, really, really deep. As a former college player myself, I understand the concept of letting the ball travel but it almost feels like in order to get good timing you have to be hitting it out of the catchers mitt.

When I've used other cameras like 15, 16, or fish eye I've had real trouble actually squaring balls up because the timing seems so off. It's almost as if every pitch, regardless of location, has to be approached like you're sitting back on a curveball, ready to slap it to the opposite field. It's extremely frustrating in DD because I end up pitching extremely well (had 18 K's with Marco Gonzales in my first game) but can't hit to save my life because everything is a swinging bunt or a foul tip.

I'm hoping that I can just adjust and get out of my former player mindset and approach but after two years of the same thing I find it hard to believe that will change. It was beaten into me for years after all. So for now, zoomed has been the best angle because it actually plays to my mindset and mentality.

I literally wish they had one camera so I was forced to just deal with it and not constantly change and second guess. I agree with op that it seems like a lot of high level players use zoomed cams but I just can't do it.

I've been using fisheye and it's OK, not super impressed.
