Re: Los Angeles Angels (MVP 2005)

Angels hold Five Aces in their hand

In Poker, five aces will get you kicked out.

In baseball, five aces will deliver a championship.

With the Mariners on their heels, and the Yankees blazing at 23-5, the Angels made a deal that is sure to strengthen their Western Empire, sending 2B/SS Chone Figgins, SS David Eckstein, and SP Jarrod Washburn far east to the New York Mets in exchange for young SS Jose Reyes and ace pitcher Pedro Martinez.

When asked for comment, Mariners GM Bill Bavasi had a few choice words for Angels GM Brian Kudron.

"I hate that ****ing guy. Who the **** does he think he is, Steinbrenner? He think's he's big **** because he's bringing in every player and their mother. **** him, I hope he ****ing vanishes and that franchise regrets ever hiring him. Son of a *****."

Reyes will immediately start at SS, and will lead off. Pedro will start in the final game of the Mariners' series, after Mark Mulder gets his start.

DAMN!! Homie is STACKED at the pitcher's position. Great pickup, though I'm upset you traded Eckstein AND Figgins.

Seattle's GM is quite vulgar.
