RISE UP! A Stonehaven Athletics Dynasty

This isn't a real dynasty, it's more like sports fiction, but I thought it would be cool to post this anyway. I don't use video games to get the results, mainly because there aren't any Women's College Basketball games or college baseball games where I could make a team and use them. It follows the fictional University of Stonehaven Tech, a school that appears in a sports book I'm writing. Anyway, I'll keep this updated often!

Identity

School Colors:
Stonehaven’s school colors are black and maroon. White could be considered the third color.
Logo:
The main Stonehaven Tech logo is the word TECH written in all caps and in red, and can be written in any font. A alternate logo is the letters STU written in all caps in black.
Motto:
The official motto is “Badgers Rise Up!” or just “Rise up!”
Sports:
Tech plays FBS College Football, Men’s College Basketball, Women’s College Basketball, and College Softball.
Famous Sports Alumni:
Lebron James, Case Keenum, Brett Farve, Nick Saban, Elena Della-Donne, and more.

The Stonehaven Tech Honey Badgers are prepping for their season opener on Saturday, August 30th. This is their schedule as follows. Also, the Honey Badgers are independent, meaning they don’t play eight conference games a year.

Opener!

The Honey Badgers are going to walk out of their opener with a W! The game started off 0-0 at the end of the first quarter, but the Badgers struck back in the second by scoring 21 unanswered points. Jeremy Simpson the quarterback threw for two touchdowns in the second quarter and Lance McCollum the starting running back ran for another on a sixty five yard touchdown run. Pitt struck back in the third and scored two touchdowns to make it a one possession game. The Honey Badgers though, came up big as Lance McCollum ran for a twenty yard touchdown to ice the game in the fourth quarter.

Some Stats:
Jeremy Simpson: 400 passing yards, two touchdowns. 50 rushing yards.
Lance McCollum: 105 rush yards, two touchdowns. One reception for eight yards.
Xavier Green: Five catches and two touchdowns. One rush for ten yards.

Basketball Preview
The annual basketball preview by SBNation’s Rise-Up-Badgers is out!

Men’s team:
This year’s Badger team is loaded with freshman talent, with four freshmen, all starters. This year’s beginning of season starting lineup is as follows.
PG: Luke Darien, Freshman, 6’7 point guard from Denver High School.
SG: Sam Sparta, Freshman, 6’5 shooting guard from New Rockford High
SF: Shane “Shady” Carter, Freshman, 6’3 small forward from Denver High
PF: Erik Aces, Senior, 6’10 power forward from Germany

Duke loses, internet implodes.
Number two Duke lost 91-89 at home against Lisa Sparta and the Honey Badgers tonight. The loss was on a shocking four point play when Sparta was fouled on a long three pointer by Duke’s point guard. After the loss, twitter exploded with new hash tags, including #Badgerswin, #SpartaGotSwag, #Huhwhat and #DukeChoke.

Badger Nation Rises Up
In the men's opener versus Oregon, the Honey Badgers won in a 100-85 rout. The team will move up to number five in the polls.

In the second game of the football season, the Honey Badgers took down rival Wissconsin at Lambeau field. They won 38-35 in a shootout in triple overtime. Lance McCollum had two rushing touchdowns and one hundred yards.
