Re: Force Win Strategy to get somewhat realistic results

Maybe it's just me, but I don't see the problem with upsets being somewhat prevalent in a college football video game? We all famously saw FCS Appalachian State take down #5 Michigan in 2007. Heck, just last year, a terrible Virginia team which was 1-5 the day of the game and finished the season 3-9 went to Chapel Hill and took down then #10 North Carolina. Anything can and will happen on Saturday.

I'm admittedly not too far into Dynasty mode yet, but in my mind upsets and chaos are defining features of college football, IMO upsets are only going to happen more as conferences get larger (especially in conference play), and the new static pipeline system in CFB25 mitigates the impacts of too many upsets dragging down blue-blood programs.

But again, I haven't progressed too far yet so I could be off-base; are upsets really happening so frequently in the game as to be that offensive?

Yeah, they are. Teams are little too evenly matched, which is causing some parity. I like the upset, but, Jacksonville State and Charlotte shouldn't be taking 2 of the 4 byes in the playoff.

If you remember in NCAA 14 it was the same, it wasn't usually the fact you had upsets, it was the fact you had too many.

In your RNG, you're giving the favorites a little too much. The right equivalent would be...

For teams favored by:
30+: 99%
26-30: 96-99%
21-25: 93-96%
16-20: 86-93%
11-15: 82-86%
6-10: 65-82%
1-5: 50-65%

These are just approximations.

It doesn't show how much a team is favored by in the game does it? Surely not (although it would be awesome and realistic lol)

Re: Force Win Strategy to get somewhat realistic results

How are you determining how much of a favorite each team is?

Re: Force Win Strategy to get somewhat realistic results

Has anyone looked at the stats after a forced win and compared them to regular simmed games?

Re: Force Win Strategy to get somewhat realistic results

Wondering if anyone has checked on this yet.....

In Madden 24, if you set a "force win" the current week, the score of the game would always show 0-0 in the in game ticker.

However, if you set the force wins at least a week prior (IE set week 2's FWs before playing Week 1's games) when you advanced, the game would generate a score for those games, and they would show in the ticker.

I wonder if this is the same with this game.
