Thanks for all adding you input/observations. Looks like it might be down to us to change the weight and height stuff.

How much does weight factor in the game? I’d like to know how a 190 lb DT performs

Re: Does height and weight change?

Bad news. I thought this might happen. Same as Madden, when you edit a play’s weight it changes their body type to a standard slimmer model. So even if you move your DT weight up to 320 he will look like Brian Burns…

Not sure about the current game, but I know that in the PS2 versions, the players would put on weight. The cool thing is that not everyone would put on weight, as it was realistic.

Sometimes your DT would put on 8 lbs, 5 lbs, 3 lbs, then nothing Senior year.

Or your HB would put on a few pounds over the first 2 years and then nothing Junior or Senior year.

It was realistic and from a time when EA Sports really had a great NCAA College product.

If we could do custom conferences in '06, '07, or '08, I probably would never be interested in the modern titles.

Honestly I think it’s pretty significant. My 360 pound guard seems to throw people around better than my 310 pound guard with better stats, 250 pound running backs seems to move the pile better, etc

Is it the weight or ratings though? If I edit the 250 lb RB to be 190 lb does he still perform the same since his ratings are the same?

This is promising if true, because that was always lacking in the NCAA and Madden games.

Size and strength just didn't matter previously.
