Are custom schedules broken?

I’ve just created a new dynasty with custom conferences and the schedule looks great. I no longer have conference games in the first weeks and every team plays the same number of conference games.

I have the power 5 conferences and the Sun Belt at 14 teams split into divisions, the rest at 12 teams without divisions (all 8 conference games) and there are no issues, at least not in the first 5 years I’ve checked to test it.

Not sure it matters or not, but in my case all changes were made before Year 1. Shouldn't matter, but who knows what breaks what.

Did you check the number of home and away games? I found with the custom conference it’s still not working right.

Only for my own team and the H/A split was right, but I did not check the H/A split for other teams.

It’s been right for me every season except the dynasty I made back on release week, when I didn’t adjust the amount of conference games.

I downloaded the update and fired it up. Got through the offseason and found that I had 6 home games and 3 away games in conference. A lot of people will disagree with me but this is a huge issue with me. It seriously makes me not want to play. I remember being so immersed in 14 but because of this (and other things) I’m just not feeling it.

That would be super frustrating. I play as an Independent always, as I don't love being in a conference and always play as ND, so it doesn't effect me. But that would suck if I was.

Nah I get you man. My first dynasty is still sitting idle because I had recreated the PAC-12 to go with realignment (plus some edits), but I didn’t check the conference rules and I only had 3 conference games. Stupid, immersion killing.

I ran a sim test for an 8 team PAC (7 conference games) and got:

Season 1: 4 home 3 away
Season 2: 3 home 4 away
Season 3: 2 home 5 away
Season 4: 4 home 3 away


So it was pretty weird for that one season. This was a couple patches ago.
