I gave it a shot, I really did. I tried to convince myself it was playable but the foremost thing I am not able to look past is the speed cheat. Its really a shame too because I really like the gameplay in Madden. Anyway, i see a lot of people make comments and complaints here and there but what specific issue(s) bothers you the most about 2005? I just think of the gameplay from the 2001 version and the gameplay this year and it makes me sad.

Mainly just the lack of a consistent CPU offense.

1. the deep ball
2. the volleyball effect
3. player penalties by just (accidently) pressing a wrong button
4. no stadium or weather select option
5. HFA where you audible or hot route and only the WR your hot routing can't hear

I love the game just think some of the above need to be fixed.

There is nothing worse in this game than the fact that no matter how good your WR is and how bad the DB covering him is, you can't beat them deep. Not to mention that no matter how far out of position he is, the safety always gets back in on the play.

Same thing that drove me crazy in 2k4, no cpu running game....
First season of every dynasty I have #1 rush D...That sux..

The deep ball is all about the pump fake...crummy DB's will bite and you get a step...good one's won't.

I actually still play the game and enjoy it. Some stuff does bug me...but I just keep going. I love the short seasons and constant turnover in the college rosters so it doesn't get old for me.
