I'd go with the upperclassman. Even though the freshman has a better speed rating, you're still not gonna be running the option with someone at 75. Give the freshman some good playing time, throwing him into low pressure situations where he can do well, and then his composure should increase to the point where he can probably compete for the starting job as a soph.

How good is the team around him? Do you expect to compete for the National Title this year?

If you aren't, I would go with the frosh.

The team is hurting since last year's NC team, so I think I'm going to start the frosh.
