07 for xbox1 for 11 bucks worth it?

Hi, im in like year 2030 in ncaa 06 with about 140 games played and i kinda wanna get a newer version. Eventually I'm going to get an xbox360 but it probably wont be for a while so i was just lookin for something to get in the mean time. Gamestop has 07 for xbox for like $11 and i was wonderin if i should pick it up? I dont really wanna buy 08 for xbox1 id rather wait til i get a 360 to get it.

Is 07 better or worse than 08? Should i pick it up since ive pretty much played 06 into the ground?

I jumped from '04 to '07 last year (on the old gen). I didn't play '06, so I can't totally relate.

But I can tell you that '07 was a real struggle for me. I felt that the momentum was way over done. If you are one that messes with sliders alot, this might be frustrating. I could set the sliders for a great game. But then the opponent would take a 3-0 lead, and the EA momentum would turn Tulsa into USC. Also, a majority of games were blowouts (again, momentum).

At least that was my experience.

i just got my degree in the mail today from U of Iowa =)

I was at soldier field on saturday too, might be goin back for Syracuse this weekend (hmmm just remembered about the big Bears game this sunday maybe ill just stay at home)

Thanks for the info though. I rented 07 when it first came out and remember the deep ball not working as well as 06 which was a positive but ya the momentum could really get out of hand i think i remember.

is the recruiting different from 06 at all? Plus in 06 it seems to me like the bowl rankings are messed up and that always kinda bugged me and i think i remember that being fixed in 07

Congrats on the degree. I got mine back in 1992....holy crap I am getting old.

'07 did have some nice improvements over '04 that I had been playing. Definately improved physics....but they might not be much different than '06.

Other '07 problems included the Jump the Snap feature which resulted in way too many pancakes on both sides of the line. Running plays were either 3 guys tackling you as you get the ball, or a hole 15 yards wide to waltz through..(a bit of an exaggeration there, but you get the idea).

Also, the CPU never misses FGs. There is a funky close up camera angle on kick returns that not too many people liked.

But for $11, it might be worth a shot.

I upgraded to the 360 this year. And it has taken a while for NCAA to grow on me, but I am liking it now....despite some well documented issues.

I never played 06 either but I feel like 07 is overall much better than 05(which was the last ncaa I owned). The momentum is overdone, so is jump the snap, and I hate the kick/punt return views, but I still think it is definitely worth $11.

For 11 bucks, I'd take a chance and just go for it. In today's world,how much entertainment can you get out of 11 dollars anywhere? IMO though-I still think for a last gen game-I'd still stay with 04. I dunno,that game played sweet for me. I've seen that one used for as cheap as $2 at Blockbuster.

Yeah, 2004 was great. One thing to remember with '04 is that Miami, VT and BC are still in the Big East. So if you are a big ACC or Big East fan, that would be something to keep in mind before purchasing.
