If the game had half the problems it has now then the complaining would be far less.

I do love how the same guys who never post come out during EA football release time, every single year and do their best to stir up a hornets nest.
I think it's really iffy at best as to whether people are criticizing them FOR posting. I think at most, people have said "it's their job so why thank them" or "they are getting paid" or "EA should thank the OS community". Many more posts said they were appreciative of it and I really think everyone is.

Of course some people are bitter because the game just came out a week ago and has some problems so you have to expect some people to be negative. But I don't think anyone has said they shouldn't be posting here.

Either way, doesn't matter to me because I love the game and I love the EA team posting here.

Re: NCAA Designers Step Up to the Plate

I am all for the interaction by EA employees. I am glad they are here and I like the fact that they have responded to both positive and negative posts and have really demonstrated some thick skin.

That being said, how come every year the games (NCAA & Madden) ship with serious glitches or flaws, most of which are things that were fine the year before??? The testers would all be out of a job if I were at EA. The thing about the "automation writer" writing a "program" to test naming rosters, is that you don't need a guy to write a test! The game had not even been in a guys hand for 48 hrs and he found the glitch. This is piss poor testing. Piss poor testing within a video game company falls directly onto piss poor leadership.

The roster issue, the extremely poor K/P coverage issue, and the expansive online dynasty issues would never have made it through the testing phase if I tested the damn game!!!

The K/P coverage issue slaps you in the face the very first time you play a game. There is absolutely no way a half-*** football fan would miss this!!! So how the hell does the game ship with this issue???

The name thing? Are you freaking kidding me??? You offer a couple of these "roster gurus" an early copy in exchange for testing this before the game "goes to print"!!! No need for a "program"!!! The fact that it never occurred to test this is a serious problem, it is one of the most popular features of the game!!!

I haven't "discovered" the online dynasty glitches yet, but come on! This feature is overdue and you don't do your due diligence to insure that it works properly??? The test phase for this feature should have been the #1 priority outside of game play (note K/P coverage)!!!

The fact is that EA dropped the ball again. These issues should have never been shipped. If they missed them, they are incompetent. If they knew and shipped anyway, they have serious leadership issues and absolutely no respect for the consumers (us)!!! Whichever the case, EA needs better leadership and serious changes within the quality assurance/ testing areas!!!

The roster bug is annoying, but hasn't "killed" the game for me. I for one am happy for Adam being here and he's insights. I'm not happy to wait on starting a dynasty, but i should have known not to buy it day one.

Guys, the article wasn't bad and I don't mind them praising Adam for being here. I don't think it is a blind praise of EA either or them not wanting to admit the games flaws.

Adam explained some things to me in PMs about an issue I was upset about before the game came out and he didn't have to do that. I thank him for that.

As far as being mad the game needs to be patch we all should. I have no problem being mad about that cause I am too, but that seems to be the way all next gen are shaping up these days, NOT just ones by EA

My problem is with the new thought process that most companies have in reguards to releasing a patching games. It is happening far too often. I'm tired of paying more for games that should be released later to get the bugs out......I shouldn't be waiting on patches, and this goes across the board.

Hate to remind you guys, but EA isn't alone in this issue. I remember the biggest next gen disgrace that was MLB 2k6. I couldn't even play a game for a MONTH. Furthermore, EA hasn't been as quite on the issue as 2k was with that game. I'm not giving them a free pass, but at least I CAN play the game. With 2k6 I couldn't.

I'm so far disappointed with next gen as a whole in terms of patches being needed so often. That is the most disappointed thing for me.

Dude, You should go back and read all the posts again. Peeps are not PO'd that EA is finally posting. We are all criticizing the way OS staffers and this website are falling over themselves to praise EA like they just invented sliced bread.

2K games has been posting on the boards for years, but I have never EVER seen them get the full treatment EA has gotten these past few months.

It's been a constant ramp up of EA hype since the SPring. Everytime I log on to the front page, I see another EA puff piece. What the hell happened to OS?

So FISHEPA now your calling your customers 'pathetic' and 'obsessed' heh? That's really great and professional. Are you really a staffer or are you a little brother who is on the wrong computer? I have been a member here since '02 and this is the first time that a Mod has blatantly come out and name-called a whole group of members. Since you can't BAN yourself, I'm guessing you'll ban me. Or delete this post.

Customer? You are not a customer. You are guest of the forum.

As for the second part, all I can do is laugh. I used to eat little whiners like you for breakfast and still ban 20 more people before I sat down for a bag of donuts for brunch.

2002? Pssh, Rookie.

Article would have made sense if it went a little something like this

NCAA Designers Step Up to the Plate....refund customers for defective product.
