no, the sliders do not work against other users, even in Online Dynasty. I've tested it in-depth, and they do not work. it's always at default for user vs user games.

as little more info in why I say it doesn't work. we have the sliders set so QBA is at either 30 or 35. you can get some incomplete passes with bad QBS, but in user vs user games, you can tell its back to 50 because every pass is accurate and I can complete 90-100% of the passes. most of the other sliders(at least the ones you can even notice a difference between 0-100) you can notice the difference as well. especially the WR catching ability. at 50, WR rarely, if ever drop a pass, but at 0 you see drops(if you don't user catch).

basically, playing against a user in OD is the exact same feeling than if you played a player/ranked match. it doesn't have a difference like playing the CPU at default vs playing the CPU with adjusted sliders. I played a few games vs users with the sliders at 50, then some with sliders at 0. there was no change at all. if the sliders did work for user vs user games, it would make OD even better.

What about stat tracking...

1) Are individual stats tracked or just overall team stats? Like in MLB The Show 08 (not sure about 09 yet) it would only track team stats, like HRs, SOs, etc... but not actually track individual player stats.
2) Where do you go to view stats, is it only on-line or can you use your PC and go to a website for example?

And how is progression handled in NCAA and does it also work for the OD? I would assume so...

Thanks again for your assistance!
1) Yes, individual stats are tracked throughout the season as well as the career.

2) Only online. I think they were originally planning something more in depth online but couldn't get it up this year.

Yes, progression works in the OD.

Certain things don't work properly, but there are workarounds for most things. For instance, no invites to another conference... My friends and I take it offline before the end of the season to get those, then put the dynasty back online and voila...

Also, players leaving...younger players that are trying to leave to go pro...only the commish seems to keep his guys if everybody is online. So we take it offline to do players leaving, then put it back up for everybody to do the rest of the offseason.

Thanks for the info guys! Sounds like a pretty solid feature. Have you gotten any info on possible improvements to this feature for NCAA 10?

well, they added team specific endzones for bowl games. the last few year on 360/PS3, they were plain generic endzones that were just sick(in a bad way). not directly dynasty mode improvements, but Bowl games are in dynasty mode so it does add to it.

they also added the ability to customize the conferences. so you could switch different teams around to suit your needs. something I probably wont use, but a lot of people might, especially people doing Online Dynasties.

other than those 2, nothing else has been confirmed yet. I'm hoping we'll get some more info on new dynasty mode improvements.

Sounds good. So from what you are saying I take that whatever you see off-line makes it on-line as far as Dynasty is concerned?

One thing I'd love to see is website based stat tracking, seems like the next logical step.

BTW, what is progression like in NCAA? In PS2 Madden it was fine, but the PS3/360 Madden totally screwed it up...

for the most part. there were a few things they left out(the ones i mentioned in the 2nd post of this thread) because of how dynasty mode was made, most likely created conflicts in the game, so they had to leave them off for '09. I hope they found a way around the problem and included them for '10.

it's not like the Online leagues that Madden had last year, where only human controlled teams played and was only 1 season long. Online Dynasty is basically a clone of the offline Dynasty(you can have 12 players in an offline dynasty as well, of course your on the same system though), but you have the ability to add some friends to play along with. so now you can play games against each other, recruit against each other, and anything else you normally would do by your self in dynasty mode.

they started an online tracking system for '09's OD, but it didn't get too in-depth. it basically only tracks what week the dynasty is on, and whether or not the users have played their games or how much recruiting time they have left. I'm hoping they expand on that for '10.

it's not perfect, but for the most part it's pretty good. there was a problem with the progression with online dynasty where the team that the commissioner controls, didn't get much if any in-season progression. but the off-season they would. I'm not sure what type of info your looking for though.

normally during the season, players can improve based on playing time/stats. mostly they only gain Awareness ratings, but there are times where strength and other attributes increased.

off-season progression is where most the abilities increased. I've seen some players get +1, all the way to a +8(I think some people have said they got more) for the overall rating. but it's mostly random, so you could quit and not save, reload and get a completely different result. I think its based on a range depending on playing time and/or stats, but I'm not sure, I don't really break it down that much.
