I humbly disagree...CAR, release, CTH, CIT, and AWR matter as well on offense. I have an 80 rated power back that averaged 4 yards per carry, but had an 80 carry rating and a 60 catch rating and had 12 fumbles and 14 drops for the season. However, this is on the post-patch slider set I use to make the above ratings and AWR, TKL, and PRS matter. I use the tall possession receivers quite a bit in the slot and on fades in the red zone. I had a 6-6 guy with 40 catches and 12 Td's one season simply because he made the CB's look like a midget. I will say one thing, on default sliders speed can get quite stupid.

in '09, if you user catch, all that matters is speed. I rarely user catch, and those speedy guys that can burn people drop a lot of balls, especially on slants and post routes.

I like to fill my WR corps with 1 95+ speed guy and the rest 4-star B+ speed guys (because they are easy to recruit). Even if they never get above 90 speed, if they have the other attributes (agi/acc/str/cth) they can succeed for me. Even a human-controlled team going after speed corners will be hard pressed to get 3+ good CBs that have more than 92 speed or so. The one speed guy is enough to stop aggressive zones from working, and the rest can still get open on intermediate and short routes (even if they are not a threat to beat fast corners deep). All the speed in the world won't make fast CBs jump hitch routes on NCAA 09, so the possession guys will always have a chance to make plays.

That's why I recruit fast/agile 2-4 star WR's and change their position to CB
