Sorry, my tv upscales everything to 1080p. Should have clarified.

Hey Solidice, do you think because this is a demo the graphics (x-box 360)are not as smooth as the final copy? I have heard different opinions about this just wanted to know what you think?
to me it didn't look too different than '09 on my TV. it's possible that the demo is not using anti-aliasing though, so it's not as sharp.

Anybody know what button to press while controlling a D lineman in order to jump the snap? Also..what's the button for Defensive assist?

Glitch found! They called OU for holding (that never happens in real life)

Jump snap is pushing down on the right stick. I found that out by mistake.

Not sure about DA though.

Re: Official NCAA Football 10 Demo Impressions

I've only played a couple games but I don't feel like playing any more. For as much as EA blabs about player control you sure don't feel like you have control in this game. No analog movement, you can only cut and turn at certain angles, there seems to be a slight delay to any command you input. The passing still feels on rails like it has the last several years, at least LBers can't leap out of their jocks now.

Most of us knew the running/transition animations wouldn't be very good, and they aren't. There's also these new (I think) "spin tackle" animations that happen almost every play.

Graphics/presentation wise seems about the same as last year, except now with marching band. And why is there still lag in the play call screen?

The only positive things I can think of is the pursuit angles being fixed and the aggressive/safe play stuff is sort of neat.

Bottom line this just isn't very fun or exciting. I'd really like to see someone else get a shot at this series, it feels like these guys are just running down the home stretch.

Re: NCAA Football 10 Demo Now Available, Post Your Impressions Here

Downloaded and played 3 games...my take.

Pros:
1. I think I like the gameplay alot more than last year. Even though some people are saying the players lack responsiveness, I like this a little better. Seems like its a little more true to real running as you can't cut this way or that in a nano second. Momentum feels more involved..you can still make your cuts and jukes but you really have prepare for it and have the spacing to do them. I thought last year's jukes where a little unrealistic as it was like doing figure skating out there

2. Passing game feels 20 times more improved. Feels much more natural. Can air it out, and it will actually look like you give the pass some loft...or your can gun it in there. But the guns are not perfect 90% of the time like last year. The WR's catching the ball seems much better as well.

3. CPU pass rush is much more improved. My pass rush blew, but it was cause I can't pass rush all that well.

4. Really like the player lock cam, mostly on defense. Great new perspectives playing defense.

5. Speed of the game / player is much better than last year. For whatever reason, slowing down these football games is paying off.

CONS:

1. Playerlock Cam. On defense the biggest problem with this is if you are Dlineman, and its a passing play. For all intensive purposes, you are done if the pass gets off. For as great as the views are, you need to be able to switch the nearest defender.

2. CAMERA's!!! I am sorry, but the biggest gripe you read from me is this. IF THIS GAME HAS THE ABILITY TO HAVE A ROVING CAMERA FROM ANY PLAYER POSITION ARE YOU TELLING ME WE CAN NOT HAVE A SIMPLE BROADCAST CAM??? The lines of there are bugs is simply pointless to me now. It comes down to lazy production and lack of creating a quality product. Shame on you EA...shame on you

3. Had 09 on the 360, but got the demo on the PS3. The graphics are worse, but its not like they are horrible. But still, not reason for the drop in the visuals. Hopefully this is just a demo thing.

4. PRESENTATION. You have to be kidding me. Seriously, one of the greatest games in all the world with all the pageantry and there isn't even like a half time show? I like the new overlays and actually showing the cpu generated faces of players for stats and stuff...but seriously...WAKE UP ON THE PRESENTATION. This is the same game of the last 3 years...nothing new in this department. Do you really expect people to keep buying this? I have nothing else to say as there is no presentation to speak of.

Overall, looks like 09.50. Got the game play tighter, got some new fonts in the overlay and toned down the speed of the game. Does this warrant a purchase? If you got some new camera's in...maybe, specifically broadcast...but other than that...I will wait till they actually try on making this game stand out again.

Not impressed at all with the Demo. EA saved me $60 bones. I'll use the generic draft rosters in Madden. Why are the two games so far apart in development efforts? EA almost had me with the Ultimate Grand Slam in Video Games, but now Madden, Fight Night, and Live will be my only purchases this year. ($180) Dang....they still got me though.
