Re: NCAA Football 10 Demo Now Available, Post Your Impressions Here

At first i was really impressed because of the slower speed, but that wore off pretty quick and it kinda reminds me as being more of the same. Here are a few problems i noticed.

-I'm getting the same grab and roll tackle a lot. There are some new animations that look good though.

-Just doesn't feel like i have much input when controlling the players. It just feels like the plays are mostly determined by the CPU and not user control. Now star players are able to put some moves together, and that's realistic, but even then it's more like the the CPU decides if you're going to be successfull with a juke rather than me controlling the juke and making the play.

-There are some BS passes that get completed when the receiver is double teamed. It's almost like the same poor pass coverage that plagued the series in last gen at times.

-It's way too easy to pass. I know we're using 2 of the better QB's, but receivers seem to get open way too often after their break and it seems too easy threading a zone. I believe a large part of the problem is the ball speed is too fast. Another problem when passing is there isn't nearly enough touch you can put on passes.

-The commentary is good as far as sound goes, but it just doesn't feel like a real football broadcast.

It's a good game for the most part X and O wise with some neat strategy decisions to make and the player lock is cool, but i feel more like i'm watching a movie rather than controlling the outcome during a play.

I have asked this twice now but got some conflicting answers. Does anyone know if the universal game speed was reduced 5-10% like Madden 10?

Thanks!

no fluid players- no ball spin- no celebration after championship

center snap goes over QB head and they call it incomplete

After playing MLB 09 The Show, then looking at these graphics I'm sorry I'm jaded. As far as gameplay I guess it's better, but I'll probably give the PS2 version a spin before making a final choice which one to get. But, right now I'm leaning towards the PS2 version more bang for the buck.

yo what up people? i love the game it is very fun and intense. i was really crackin people left an right. but there was way too many injuries from lil sisse hits. i only thing that i did not like about da game was, 1. when u are tryin to defend a long or pretty long pass the cam is not close enough the the ball. i could not tell where the ball was or were my defender was and or on offence. 2.when i am on the lock down mode the cam should be closer, lot closer. cuz that is the only guy that u can use so when im on the d-line an i spin off a guy i want 2 feel that spin not just lookin at it from a distance. i wanna be able to see the ball zoom pass me when i jump for a deflection on the d_line or anywere on the field. 3. at the end of the game it was weak, there should be coach's runnin on the field shakin the other coach's hand.an the player's should have better clelabration's for the win and clebration's for the loss.EX. dumping the water thing on the coach at the end would be good. but they really have to change that cam veiw when the ball is in the air. cuz it is really hard 2 see if ur Db or Wr is close enough were the ball is gonna land. 4. the int's should be more intese just like those amazin catches that's in the game. 5.maybe the replay's should be work on cuz i was getin rob so bad. Ex.when i throw the ball to my WR and he get pop they call it a fumble, but he did not have complete control and they review and the play stand's. that was really make me mad.Or when the cpu throw the ball at the tip of side line sometime the player do not have complete control but has one foot down they say it is a complete pass.i even done it a couple time's to the cpu. 6. i dont know if it is just me but i chould not go though my play's quick enough without have a half or whole second delay, threw formation an all. So, that what i notice and it still needs lil touch up's on the things said and i'm pretty sure other people have notice this 2. but i'm bout 2 play some more cuz there was sum more things that that i saw and i can't remember right now so, i'll be back

Re: NCAA Football 10 Demo Now Available, Post Your Impressions Here

I have to say that I am far less critical of NCAA then most sports games and thought the demo was fun and liked the numerous improvements they made. What it boils down to for me is that even for all the lack of presentation or other shortcomings. Online Dynasty is going to reel me in for '10. Last year the gameplay was flawed however on XBL I met a group of 8 people who were funny and we developed rivalries. I actually feel sorry for those who cant play in a legit online dynasty b/c it basically is a whole new dimension to the game. Im not purchasing this game for the user vs cpu experience , its mostly for the user vs user dimension with opportunities to win National Championships.

From the demo the gameplay was fun and improved IMO. the DB AI received a much needed boost and it seems that defensive players no longer run in quick sand. I also liked the pocket formation, tackling and catching animations added. This game is far from a sim but it is fun and since I will be in a hardcore Online Dynasty the fun value of this game is already on a 10 level. When u add in recruiting rivalries, and on field rivalries. NCAA 10 gives me what I need
