Slot Screen

Hey guys, I was just wondering if there is a playbook with some slot screen passes. I know most of the basic screens are mostly broken, so I'm looking for an alternative.

Thanks for any help.

Oregon.

The bad part is the AI picks up on quickly and it requires a pretty deep drop back

Re: Slot Screen

The four things that happen when I run a WR screen and %

1. Interception 40%
2. Incomplete 35%
3. Complete for a loss 20%
4. Complete with a gain 5%

For #1, read the defense presnap and if they're in man, audible out of the screen. If they're in zone, you'll be fine. My %s for WR screens are a lot better than those. I don't break them off for huge gains, but I get a gain out of them the vast majority of the time and I never, ever throw an INT on them.

Re: Slot Screen

However, the CPU runs the slip screen to perfection. Well not so much, but your defenders will totally forget how to tackle.

Re: Slot Screen

The CPU loves to call screen passes. I use the "Ask Corso" to get an idea of what play to call and he sure does love to pick screen passes. Even on 3rd and long. Now I know where Tommy West gets his play calls from...

Anyway, I never call a screen pass because they are absolutely broken. Even if your QB manages to get the pass off (50% chance he never will), the screen is never set, and there's always a defender right there to tackle the receiver (if he even catches the ball).
