No. This is a competition between schools. You pick a team to rep when you first start up the game and you rep that school for the entire season. Everything you do in-game has a point value assigned to it (- or +) and the points accumulate with all the other people that are repping that school. It doesnt matter who you use in-game either. IE I'll be reppin UF, but if I play a game say Rutgers vs Texas Tech, anything I earn in that game will go towards UF's Season Showdown point total.

I've got a question for anybody. If I decide to not pick a favorite team to go into SS with, what will my background be? In past games, you HAD (grr...) to select a favorite team and then the menu's and everything would be based on that team theme.

I was hoping this year you could have a random theme everytime, so if I don't pick a favorite team what will the background and everything be? I only ask because I wasn't aware that you didn't have to sign up.

Favorite Team and Season Showdown are two different things.

You select your favorite team for the backgrounds and everything when the game starts up. This is independent of Season Showdown.

Season Showdown is it's own separate game mode within the main menu of the game. You have to go into the Season Showdown game mode to select a team to represent. I am repping my Ohio State Buckeyes.
