Although the game does play better, dynasty progression is a MAJOR, gamebreaking for some, issue for those who frequent that game mode. Online/play now people are probably happy-ish with the product.

Re: 2# Patch Information ?

Last year EA told us they found a fix for the broken OL/DL play. They also told us that it would be fixed in one of the patches. They never fixed it telling the consumer that the fix messed up other parts of the game. The patch came out and I still don't know what they patched because the game was still garbage.

I wouldn't hold my breath about the second patch fixing major issues.

My long time loyalty to the NCAA series is hanging in the balance with this patch. It's zero hour for Tiburon right now.
Yea isn't kinda convinent that they released this game with the 40 trade thing? its like thanks for your pre-order...your going to hate this game after a season, but don't worry we'll let you trade broken NCAA for broken Madden...(IDK if Madden has any issues like this yet, but I know EA...I'm sure there will be a huge FLAW)

+ 1 My loyalty is wavering as well we well see, you can't put out a broken game for 60 dollars.

EA has lost all credibility with me, I will never pre-order a football game again it is ridiculous.

Re: 2# Patch Information ?

My loyalty is gone...I will never pre-order again...I've went from being a sure-fire $140 dollars in sales for EA, to a "maybe." Madden lost my loyalty last year, NCAA lost my loyalty this year. So now I will be like the ever growing population of people that visit these board in the week after the release to notice the gamebreaking flaws and then base my decision to purchase on what others say.

There are alot of people out there like me that have gone from sure-fire sales to sitting on the fence year in and year out...Its bad business to make customers unhappy and risk sales...because as evidenced by the NASCAR series, people will eventually catch on, reject the product, and find new ways to enjoy older games (like the NASCAR community did, by rejecting EA and going back to Sierra's NASCAR 03 on PC)

What a crock. So the info that will determine if the game will be actually worth a damn is being held till after most will be unable to get their money back.

Re: 2# Patch Information ?

I'm waiting to see if dynasty progression is fixed before I buy the game. Luckily, I decided to wait and see what the OS board thought about the game before I bought it, and I'm so glad I did. This is the first year in about ten that I didn't pre-order or buy NCAA first day. I'm not a big pro football guy so the only $ EA will see from me is if they get the progression issue patched.

I'm torn because I really wish they'd let us know what's planning to be patched now; that way, if progression is on the list I can go ahead and buy NCAA 10 and start getting used to it and then when the patch is dropped, I'm ready to start my dynasty. However, if they say (like Adam said could be a possibility with certain items) that progression will be patched, I then go out and buy the game only to find out a week later that they couldn't work the fix for the dynasty into the patch, I will be twice as mad having wasted my money on a broken game.

I do wish they'd at least release a list of the items that will certainly be fixed and then a list of items that they will try to fix but could be dropped in the end; give us some idea as what to expect. Maybe progression isn't even on the list to begin with so I should go ahead and pop NCAA 09 back in.
