Re: FCS vs. Teambuilder

well technically, dynasty mode is a fantasy mode.

Teambuilder likely took up less dev time than it would have to make all the FCS teams, which if they didn't get all of them in, people would do nothing but complain thet EA was too lazy to do them all. I don't know the exact number of FCS teams off the top of my head, but if its around 100 more schools, that is a lot of work. it took them years to get them in last-gen and did they ever get all of them in? I think it was more of a time issue, plus they needed a CAS feature for this gen, since it was one of a sports game "main" feature that they did not have yet and it was a big community asked for "mode".

I wouldn't be mad if they added FCS teams, but it's not a must have with me. I normally take out the FCS teams off the schedule as they are too easy, even in the PS2/Xbox days. plus it was stupid to play them as they didn't progress.

All those resources for one or two games a year versus a team you are going to beat?

I see how EA can't justify the allocation of the resources for that. I understand you want it but can't even you realize this point?

I don't think any rational person would want to do that. What they implemented was about as reasonable as it gets. They just need to work out the bugs in TB and improve upon it.
There are 125 FCS schools. Georgia State and Lamar will be FCS in 2010. So 127 FCS schools for NCAA 2011.

I like my schedule to be as accurate as possible! If you can just score a 100 on any team (at the highest levels) that game IMO is broken right there. If they focus on fundamentals of the game instead of gameplanning(which was a good idea but apparantly was poorly implemented) the game wont be too easy. Youngstown St. played well against Ohio St. App. St. beat Mich. ,and Maine beat Miss St. its rare but it happens!

According to one of the developers FCS teams and coneferences were one of the five most requested features (as was teambuilder or create-a-team), though I would not argue that teambuilder took less time to implement.

But how cool would FCS teams and conferences, not just teams that could be subbed in like the PS2. Then you could have teams get invited to FBS conferences which would add a lot to a fairly stale dynasty mode.

so scoring a 100 points on a team that is 70 points overall lower than your team means the game is broken? ok

you can't score 100 points on any team(not counting those generic FCS teams) in NCAA 10, unless you find glitches and/or money plays or playing really long quarters. but if you use the 100 point score mark as your determining factor for a "broken" game, then you can "break" nearly every football game. yes, even 2k5. I've done it.
