If EA loses the lawsuit against Keller, you will see completely random players in the game.

For example, Jake Locker is the QB at Washington. In this year's game, he'll be named QB #10. He'll be listed as a RS SR, 6'3", 230 or so pounds, be right handed, and be from Washington State. Well, if the lawsuit is lost, Washington might have QB #5, a sophomore, left handed, and from California. Locker's likeness will not even be in the game.

I hope that makes sense. Basically it just means total randomness in respect to rosters because EA lost the lawsuit and can't use any semblance of real players.

I'm down with that

I hope EA at least reflects ratings on actual performance like that have been. Even with inaccurate rosters you could have someone like Matt Barkley be a black dude, number 19, etc. but the ratings would compare to his real life performance. Leave the numbering and naming up to us anyways, as long as we don't have to re-rate everyone.

Hopefully it won't come to that, but you never know for sure. There will always be people who make custom rosters, which means there will always be some way to get accurate players in the game. Even if they had to get rid of the EA Locker, there will still be Web sites that offer the accurate rosters. However, having random players would sure mess up online play as only the default rosters are allowed.
