confused about miami

No actually a few of my friends i went to high school with and played against that are now players at UF told me. Chris rainey, both pounceys, ahmad black, and a few others that arent big names. (lakeland high school) and tj lawerence wr/kathleen high school) whom i know very well.

What constitutes us being thug u. We have had 2 arrrest in 4-5 yrs compared to UF who has had 24 since Urban got there. You should really know your facts bro. Miami cleaned up. Cool uf is on top i dont even hate uf. I do when they play us but as a true FLORIDIAN, i suppprt every team when they not playing us. Unlike you who probably isnt even from florida and konda sound like a band wagon fan because you see no wrong or flaw in florida. You probably think tebow is GOD. Typical gator fan who or bandwagon fan who forgot that before urban florida sucked and that the same big ten that yall said was slow beat you various times, mich beat yall twice and iowa once i think. Miami fans can say we sucked for a while bur we are coming back. Unless ur staying on topoc plz refrain from further comment. Thanks

As fan of a Florida team noone really cares about:

Thug U was for the way they came up, recruiting players out of Liberty City, Carol City, and places that other recruiters wouldn't go. A few of their players also had the tendency to do some crazy ish on South Beach lol Plus once every couple years or so, they have a LB murder somebody. The ESPN 30 for 30 on Miami was great in documenting alot of that.

I can't say Florida has been that overrated the past couple of years, because as it pains me to say it, they have been great. Also it is a bit unfair I think to look at ratings made in May before the season, then fault them for rating a player highly if he was supposed to do well then underperforms. Look at some of the preseason mags from last year and you will see them be way off on alot of their predictions. It is hard to hold EA to a higher standard.


To me, the biggest reason FSU and Miami are overrated each year, is that if you look at their players athleticism and recruiting success, they should have the talent to never drop out of the top 10. However they have underperformed the past few years (coaching?). The game really has no way to account for this. Also I kind of feel that big programs are overrated a bit across the board.

Thank you man, I love how if you like a good team you must be a Bandwagon fan. Fsu an Um get more overrated than any team. Fsu has A's every year it seems no matter how bad they were.

Florida has been damn good the past few yrs. I have only been on next gen systems since 09 but even then miami wasnt that great or even that fast. Every team has its down period where they go away for awhile due to some reason. Fsu hasnt been that overrated because they have had a pretty good offense. Like ND, their D has been off. Ill even agree bout the talent. But what i dont agree on is still why miami is thug U. We havent been in the media for anything bad since bryan pata and the fiu incident yet teams like UF (janoris jenkins punching a cop, brandon spikes gouging eyes, carlos dunlap drunk at a stoplight before the sugarbpwl) Yet they arent Labeled bad. FSU cheats on music test and players are smoked out and fall asleep athe wheel at mcdonalds yet they arent labeled. Just to name a few. Yet we had one incident this yr and it was with sam shields and he wasnt on the team he was going to a combine and had weed on him. Yet you would label that thug. That is backwards.

Ppl are so stuck in the past that they dont see nothing else. 80% werent even around back then. Ill admit i wasnt i know miami since the 90s but ive seen video.

Ehhh... To be honest, the reasons that they are labeled Thug U are why they are the only other big program in Florida that I don't hate. I like how they built their program right out of South Florida with kids that noone else really wanted because of "discipline problems." I don't necessarily see it as a bad thing.

They should show this to every kid they recruit.
