In the Run & Shoot's history there is Tiger Ellison - Mouse Davis - June Jones. Many of the changes to it have been implemented by Jones as it has evolved over the past 15 years. In college, a lot of teams use Run & Shoot principles as part of their offense... like Air Raid, which, as Mike Leach himself has said, is part Run & Shoot, part West Coast.

Nobody had a bigger impact on the Run & Shoot than Mouse Davis, who first brought it to popularity and success at Portland State and then later, in the USFL with the Houston Gamblers and Denver Gold.

Since Davis it has been June Jones who has had the biggest impact on the offense. So when you say he is running the 'June Jones Version' of the offense that's like saying Bill Walsh is running 'Bill Walsh Version' of the West Coast.

SMU and Hawaii run the Run & Shoot exclusively right now. In 2009 SMU was # 12 in the country in red zone scoring, Hawaii was 119th. Which proves that Jones has a little more knowledge of the offense he has helped pioneer over the years. Perhaps you are referring to high school teams using the Run & Shoot or perhaps you could clarify what teams you are referring to. Because nobody knows this offense better than JJ and nobody runs it better or has had as much success.

When it says that Mizzou is an aggressive no huddle spread, does that mean that if im playing as Notre Dame, will the game be on auto no huddle or do I have to manually run a no huddle?

Wow, what a dud pick. It appears the match ups were all non conference games to this point so EA could have done a much better job in picking another decent match up-ND vs USC, UNC vs LSU, etc.

Go figure.....

I'm guessing we will know the other two teams tomorrow? I wonder if we will find out other details, like quarter length, difficulty, etc... tomorrow, or will they wait until Friday?
