Re: NCAA Football 11 Demo Available Now, Post Your Impressions Here

The more I play, I like it even more...

Playing the PS3 version now:

- PS3 ball spirals in replays. Wooooo-hoo! Finally.

- PS3 demo has correct Play of the Game and a couple of replays and a screenshot. Maybe this is a HDD thing or something for the demo. Who knows.

- DeMarco Murray caught a swing pass from Jones (CPU) and stayed in bounds, then went 55 yds for the score in 1st qtr (P.O.T.G. highlight).

- Sick INT by CPU for Okie. Deflected by the D and a DB came in a slid on his knees and secured the ball before it hit the ground. All hands! It was nasty. Great replay of it too.

- Very cool celebration by Oklahoma after they beat me 14-7. Player diving everywhere and my OL walking away in disgust. Felt like the old days on the XBOX and PS2. Good stuff.

One big negative though: The CPU WRs all became DBs by the end of a no-huddle drive for Oklahoma. It was probably about 9 or 10 plays long. I hope the depth chart issue of the past isn't still present in '11.

Time to play some more...and more...and more.

one thing I'm learning quickly on the d-line is that less in more. In the way of using the r-stick to make moves. I set them up with movement and then quickly use the r-stick to make a move.

2 sacks myself in the current FSU/Fla matchup.

just played as OSU, up 10-7 with 19 secs left. Hail-mary. they catch it can score. i'm down 14-10 with 9 secs left. kick off and i get to to 30 with one man to beat, just as i was gonna score, he dives and ends the game. wow
I'm getting used to this, but the play-call screen is still hard, the game is waaay to fast.

It says in the controls screen, that the right stick moves are locked for the demo, does that mean the truck stick isnt working? because the jukes still seem to work. Does that mean we may have some different animations in store?

I was just wondering the same thing. I have played Mizzou and OK and still have not seen it.

I even tried calling an audible during no-huddle and didn't see it. Weird.

Re: NCAA Football 11 Demo Available Now, Post Your Impressions Here

after only playing 1 game (Clemson vs Mizzou 7-0 Clemson win by me in the final min), i am in love with this game. It feels right this year. Pregame intro was more than i expected so it felt like a full team running down the hill and loved seeing guys warmup, cointoss is back, postgame scenes are back, espn stuff was great, i'm actually a big fan of the replay cameras this year even though most years i never notice them but this year i do. I had a nice run and the replay was up close right behind my guy running through the hole and the way my back moved was so lifelike.

You actually can read your linemen this year and have to run based on who and how they are blocking. Same with passing, you have to really read the defense. One play i didnt notice the corner blitzing and he got me but on another play i needed a first down and my TE was running a shake route and my outside receiver was running a fade so i watched the safety at the snap and he went towards the fade and i was able to lay in the shake right in time for the 1st down.

On defense things feel good as well. I was able to get good pressure on the QB with my d line, i controlled Bowers the whole game and got 1 sack and 2 hurries. Only 1 fumble and i got it back and it was a rainy game.

Didnt even notice Corso was gone so the booth sounds a lot better although i do hope variety in the broadcasters is coming soon in a future release. I like the new PA guy as well, love the crowd shots but they still should bring back the camera shake.

Overall, i'm really impressed, i want to know what additions are being made to teambuilder because they advertise that its even more in depth so looking forward to that. Can't wait, this is going to be the best football game to date. NCAA will surpass Madden (not in sales of course).
