I think I made it about 3 plays before I turned off the madden demo.

I decided to not purchase Madden this year when I heard of the inexcusable approach the EA crew had with putting franchise on hold 'til next year. I played the demo to see where all the resources and time went, and it is really hard to believe that is the product. Gameflow? Seriously?

NCAA is the alpha dog this year. Dynasty issues need to be patched ASAP, but Madden is irrelevant to me this year.

IMO, Madden can suck it this year. I'm canceling my preorder sometime soon. I don't understand how I could like Madden 10 so much but hate Madden 11 as much as I do. Something isn't right with Madden this year. NCAA all the way.

Totally agree. NCAA took HUGE strides this year in gameplay and atmsophere. Even without dynasty (temporarily) this game is too good to put down or trade in. College football is king this year.

it was kind of the opposite for me. after playing the Madden 11 demo, I went right back to NCAA 11. not sure what the default setting in the Madden 11 demo was, but I didn't like it that much. but it was only a demo.

I played one half of one game of the demo and never played again. Nuff said.

I did the same but I may still buy it because I like franchise better than dynasty. Making trades and the draft are more fun to me than recruiting and although I won't be playing online franchise this year when I did last year it was a blast. There is nothing like working out a great trade with another person.

Gameplay-wise I don't see any big improvement over NCAA. I'll probably play most of my online games in NCAA and offline stuff in Madden franchise.

Not to mention to sim a year in dynasty just takes too long.

Re: anyone putting this down after the madden demo?

Heck no, I played Madden demo and am very disappointed.

The only thing I liked about Madden was the refs call the penalties faster. In NCAA it takes too much time to hear what the penalty is and then accept/decline it.

I didnt even see much gang tackling, which really concerned me. In fact, I dont recall seeing it at all. It's like the players were just bouncing off the ball carrier.

And the strategy pad didnt help either. You have no time to make adjustments, so changing that just ruins it even more. If you're gonna change it, give us proper time before the CPU snaps the ball.

NCAA for me this year. EA smarten up! Make the games a seamless transition so that people can ENJOY both games.
