I won't buy Madden this year... I am sure it's decent but for EA to say they weren't touching franchise this year was enough for me.
Thats exactly what I said, word-for-word

Yes, because there are sliders that address his complaints (fumbles and LBs swatting balls.) I love sliders but I hate when they become a generic copout solution to problems with the game.

The only thing that annoys me about the swatted balls is that they never miss. When they go for the swat they hit it 100% of the time. As for fumbles, if CPU controlled teams never fumbled on a kickoff return again it'd be too soon. It's okay though gonna go do some slider research to fix these.

NCAA has it's issues but it's a much better and much more polished game than Madden overall. Not even close.

Well, Madden has pretty much always been the more polished of the two. Madden looks and feels very crisp, while NCAA looks and feels very washed out/muted ya know.

I'm still at a lost as to how folks put the games against each other. They're meant to be one solid experience. Both games are great.

^What he said.

This wasn't meant as a complaint thread as the fumbles and flying linebackers are already well documented. This is more of a surprised and pleased with Madden thread and may actually prefer it's on the field gameplay over NCAA. I loved NCAA 11 from the get go but after playing Madden then going back to NCAA it's gone from 'wow' to 'oh'.

I dunno, maybe it's just because I get to run over people with Tim Tebow on Madden.

What football game hasn't needed them?

I have found this to definitely not be true.

Re: Madden is Ruining NCAA for me

I personally think NCAA looks A LOT better graphically than madden... does madden have that new lightning element?

I think a main reason for this is because I know what all the NFL players look like in real life... so when I see them in the game, it just looks really cartoonish. Madden itself looks a lot more animated and cartoonish while NCAA looks phenomenal (that photographic side of NCAA thread is AMAZZZING)

Other than that, I don't know as I don't really play madden (obsessed with my dynasty now)

You completely missed the point I'm making. It seems like every time someone brings up a legitimate gripe with the game someone throws out the cliche "adjust the sliders" solution. Not everything can be fixed with sliders, and there aren't sliders for every issue. It's just a generic empty answer.

And good for you for not finding it to be true. Please mail me your copy of the game, when I receive it I'll mail you mine. Because in my game the LBs jump with perfect timing and perfect angles to swat down balls. This is playing in different ODs on multiple slider sets and difficulty levels.
